Using the AWS Build Server

Within AWS, there is an EC2 instance named wfd-internal-build. This contains a complete environment to allow the development of any of our client projects. To use:

  1. Turn on the server through the AWS instance and connect via RDP

  2. First check to see if the repo you require already exists under D:\wfd\Source

  3. If it does, great. The latest git changes are automatically downloaded on a schedule, but it's best practice to run a **`git pull **before starting work.

  4. If the repo does not exist, open a web browser and navigate to [https://dev.azure.com/WorkflowDoctor](https://dev.azure.com/WorkflowDoctor)

  5. If asked for credentials, the latest username/password are stored under D:\wfd

  6. Find the repository you would like to work on in Azure Dev Ops, go to the repositories section and select clone

  1. Select Clone in VS Code in the dropdown and press OK. This will launch a new tab and open Visual Studio Code

  2. Within VS Code, allow the opening of the Git repository and select a sensibly named folder under D:\wfd\Source

  3. Once clone has completed, open the repo and start working
